Sustainable Built Environment East (SBEE) is an independent expert body that brings together specialists from across the construction sector, to consider issues impacting on the delivery of growth, sustainable communities and the built environment.

Sustainability East currently provide the secretariat service to Sustainable Built Environment East. The group seeks to position itself as the voice for sustainability in the built environment for the East of England, focusing on key issues and influencing relevant policy debates.

Membership includes experts from all aspects of the sustainable construction sector, including those from academia. The group has a Chair and a Vice Chair. The group aims to increase sustainability in the built environment from planning stages through to development in new building projects as well as highlighting the need for changes and improvements to existing building stock.

Building a Resilient Environment Event – 9th September 2014


Sustainability East and SBEE held the ‘Building a Resilient Environment’ Event on 9th September 2014. An event for stakeholders from the East of England with an interest in climate change and the built environment.
