The Alliance for Sustainable Development is a vehicle for collaborative action across different sectors and interests in the East of England.

The Alliance:

  • Provides a platform for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and best practice
  • Enables a shared understanding of the issues pertinent to the area and beyond
  • Creates opportunities to take advantage of funding streams, financial savings, or other benefits inherent in collaborative working
  • Seeks to deliver tangible outcomes that are of value to the wider membership.

The Alliance is independent, transparent, mutually supportive, and designed and governed by its members. It was borne out of research that strongly established a need for sub-national, collaborative action on sustainability and climate change. Sustainability East provides professional facilitation, programme management and secretariat services to the Alliance.
